Telling Bristol's
human stories.

Rooted in Bristol, driven by curiosity

"The best stories aren't found in press releases — they're in the local library, the corner shop, the park bench."

I'm a Bristol-based journalist with a focus on community and human interest stories. I believe that local journalism matters — that understanding a city means understanding its people, not just its politics.

Having grown up in south Bristol, I've spent years building relationships across neighbourhoods that rarely get the attention they deserve. My work has appeared in the Bristol Cable, Bristol Post, The Bristol Magazine, and Venue.

When I'm not reporting, I'm probably at a car boot sale in Bedminster or eating a pasty on the Harbourside.

Why I spent a month attending every council meeting in Bristol

Accountability journalism doesn't have to be glamorous. Sometimes it's a plastic chair and a cold coffee in a beige room — but it's worth every minute.
